If you own a house, apartment, shop, or any property in Jawaharnagar, you have to pay property tax to the Jawaharnagar Municipal Corporation. This tax is basically what the local administration uses to maintain things like roads, drainage, garbage collection, street lights, etc. So yeah, it’s one of those bills that actually goes into city services.
The good thing is that Telangana has moved a lot of municipal services online now. Earlier people had to visit the office and stand in line, but now you can check dues and pay property tax online from home.
